Leisure trips with the vaporetto 

During the wintermonthes (starting with 5.12.2020) the transportation with vaporettos on the Bega river is interrupted.

Since 2018 in Timişoara  vaporetto operate on Bega river a route as public traffic during the working days and as leisure trips over the week-end.
In the summermonthes the vaporettos are providing tours between 11 am - 9 pm.

From Monday to Friday the routes are between Mihai Viteazu Bridge (near the Hydroelectric Power Station) and Ardealul Station (near Modos-Freidorf Bridge) and return and includes 9 stops. Due to the repair works of some bridges, for the moment the vaporettos tours on the Bega are only between the Maria Bridge and the Mihai Viteazu Bridge.

Tickets are to be purchased on board. The cost of a trip is 1 leu and the payment can be done cash or by card.

In the week-end the vaporettos provides leisure tours free of charge and there are no stops during the tour.
The point of departure and arrival is the Metropolitan Cathedral station.
