Anheuer and Haymann Palaces

On the building at no. 5 of the boulevard, the Palace Anhauer, stand out the female characters and golden lyres decorating the second floor, as well as the ornaments similar to the style of the Wiener Sezession movement.

At the Haymann Palace, located at the street’s no. 7, significant are the Neo-Baroque decorations.

Although the two buildings obtained the building authorization in the same year, on June18, respectively May 21, 1900, and were completed in the same year, on April 4, respectively April 1, 1901, they have completely different visual expressions: one is very “modern” for that time, and the other, the one with Neo-Baroque decorations, is “anachronistic”.
