The International Airport "Traian Vuia" is situated at 12 km North-East distance from the centre of Timisoara.

The airport has daily connections to several European countries: Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Holland, France, Spain, in summer also to Greece and Turkey.

Acces to the airport with public transportation:
From Timisoara to the "Traian Vuia" airport one can get  by the following expres buses:
- Expres 4 (between airport and bus stop 'Bastion", close to the city center) 
                 Details to the schedule of the expres bus E4 (Airoport-Bastion)
                 Details to the schedule of the expres bus E4 (Bastion- Airport)
      
- Expres 4b (between airport and the North Railway Station)  
                 Details to the schedule of the expres bus E4 b (Gara de Nord - Airport)
                 Details to the schedule of the expres bus E4b (Airport - Gara de Nord) 

It takes approximativ 20 minutes, to get from Bastion to the airport.

Tickets for the expres buses can be purchased in Timisoara at kiosks that display the RATT logo and from the most of the newspaper kiosks. 
and also at the airport, at the ticket counter(which is open non stop at the Internal Flights Terminal)

You have to buy the tickets in advance and validate them in the bus.

A ticket for 1 expres ride costs - 2,5 lei.

Also most of the TAXI companies are present at the airport.
