Tickets for the public transportation in Timisoara

  If you want to use public transportation in Timisoara you have to buy the tickets (or ACCES electronic wallets) in advance and validate them in the vehicle.   Tickets for the public transportation can be purchased at kiosks that display the STPT (RATT) logo and from the most of the newspaper kiosks. 

There are the same type of tickets for buses, trams, trolleybuses, Expres buses and Metropolitan buses.
A ticket for 1 ride costs - 2,5 lei. Zou can use these tickets 60 minutes after validation, even if you change the vehicle during the 60 minutes.

  A day ticket costs 12 lei (valid for buses, trams, trolleybuses, Expres buses  including also the Metropolitan buses and Metropolitan trolleybuses). These tickets contain the date for using when you purchase them.

  Electronic wallets (ACCES) can be also purchased at the STPT (RATT) kiosks ( for ACCES electronic wallets you need an identity card, they are personalised). The costs for rides with the ACCES cards are the same with the tickets.

  Paying the rides with the mobil phone

   Using public transportation in Timişoara you can pay the rides also with the mobil phone, as follows:

    Sending an SMS to 7442,  followed by one of the messages:
    - B and the number of the vehicle (for ex: BE4 when you use E4 bus)
    - V for vaporetto
    - ZI when you want to pay a day ticket

    Downloading the mobilPay App and paying with the card.
